Get Your Sticks Outs - The 2010 Season Is Coming Up Soon

01/15/2010

First off we wish to apologize to those trying to call the phone numbers listed on the winter skills registration page. These phone numbers no longer are valid and should not have been posted. Please contact Kris Partington at playerdevelopment@ramslacrosse.ca with any questions regarding this camp.

*Due to great response, the Winter Skills Camp is now full*

The St. Albert Rams Executive are furiously preparing for the upcoming 2010 season. New goalie equipment, jerseys, and shorts; a new website and online registration system are just a few of the projects that your executive are dealing with prior to the season startup.

Edmonton Rush-GELC Club Registration Day - The Greater Edmonton Lacrosse Council (GELC) and the Edmonton Rush are holding their fourth annual multi-club Registration Day on January 30th, from 11 am to 3 pm at Rexall Place. Anyone registering on January 30th will:

  • Be entered into a draw for a FREE registration
  • Get a FREE ticket to see the Rush play Calgary that evening
  • Meet the Crush Dance team
  • Get to watch the fourth annual Edmonton Rush-GELC Pee Wee Tournament

The Rams will be moving to an online player registration system with a secure credit card payment option available in 2010. (For those who have children playing hockey it will be the same process that SAMHA uses.) It is our hope to have this registration system up and running the beginning of February. An email will be sent to all 2009 players and posted on our brand new web site when Registration is officially open.

The club, over the last couple years has spent considerable monies, especially on new goalie equipment and jerseys. This year will be no exception as the club will be purchasing brand new goalie equipment and home jerseys for our peewees and novices. Having said all that, the club has been running a deficit for the past few years and the executive has voted on a $20.00 fee increase across all divisions for the upcoming 2010 season. I have contacted other area clubs as to their costs, and the Rams appear to be on par with our fellow associations within the GELC.

If anyone has any questions (especially those whose children have never played before) please feel free to contact me at registrar@ramslacrosse.ca.

Sincerely,

Brian Cormier
Rams Registrar
